Eleven more charges were laid against an Ottawa man accused of not disclosing a life-threatening sexually transmitted disease to his partners.

Since Steven Boone's arrest in early May, four more men have come forward alleging they contracted HIV from Boone. Police say all these men are between 17 to 21 years old.

The investigation started after a man went to police saying Boone knowingly had sex with him without disclosing his status.

At the time, 29-year-old Boone was charged with nine counts of aggravated sexual assault. The total number of charges has now jumped to 20.

Police cannot charge for aggravated sexual assault unless the act causes bodily harm.

Boone is in police custody and  police say the investigation is not over.

He faces similar charges in Waterloo.

Anyone who has has had sexual contact with Boone should get tested and contact Ottawa Police Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5944 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
