The search for a missing swimmer in the Rideau River has ended.
Ottawa Paramedics have confirmed a body has been recovered.
Ottawa Police say a young man had been swimming with a small group near Riverside and Uplands around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, when he went into distress and slipped beneath the surface.
His identity has not been released.
