Ottawa's Bells Corners neighbourhood is going after a new look and a new attitude.

The enclave is revamping its appearance, and rejuvenating its image, by hanging banners, showing off a new community logo, and destroying local eyesores.

An abandoned Hooters restaurant was recently levelled and will soon be replaced by a drive-thru Tim Horton's.

Officials from the Bells Corners Business Improvement Association said the new measures are geared to realizing the neighbourhood's full potential.

"The business owners in Bells Corners realize there needs to be change," said Alex Lewis of the BIA.
