Belleville police say the death of a 38-year-old woman who was killed when she was hit by a train early Wednesday morning is not suspicious.
Police say the Belleville resident was struck by an eastbound CP train at about 1:15 a.m. in the area of South Church Street in the city's east end.
The incident closed the train tracks for a few hours while police investigated. The tracks have since reopened.
A post mortem on the woman's body is scheduled for Wednesday.
