BELLEVILLE, Ont. - A Belleville, Ont., man who set his dog on another man during a fight has been sentenced to jail time.
Jason Simpson, 36, pleaded guilty at his pretrial in Belleville court to assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation.
A 23-year-old Belleville man suffered numerous injuries on May 9 when a man he was having a physical altercation with turned his dog on him.
Simpson was sentenced to 90 days in jail, given a 10-year weapons prohibition, and placed on probation for one year.
