BELLEVILLE - A 24-year-old man from Belleville, Ont., was sentenced Monday to five-and-a-half years behind bars after pleading guilty in a child pornography case.

The man was arrested last summer after losing his cellphone, which contained sexually explicit pictures involving his 11-month old baby and 29-year old wife.

Police seized 7,400 movies and 38,000 images from the couple's home computer.

Justice Stephen Hunter also placed a lifetime ban on the man from any public parks or working or volunteering in a place that children under 16 may be present.

The man's wife is set to appear in court in early March on similar charges.

No names have been released to protect the child.
