The Bayshore Shopping Centre could soon be expanded if a city committee approves the plan next week.
The owners of Bayshore, the biggest shopping centre in Ottawa's west end, want to expand the mall by 50 percent.
The expansion would cost around $130 million and make Bayshore slightly bigger than the Rideau Centre.
It would also add more parking along with extra retail outlets.
The plan will go before the city's planning committee for approval next week.
