Ottawa motorists used to dodging the construction on the Rockcliffe Parkway will now have another area construction-laden pathway to contend with in the next week: the Aviation Parkway.

Between Monday and Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Aviation Parkway will be reduced to one lane from the Rockcliffe Parkway to Montreal Road. Flagmen will be on scene to direct traffic.

On Aug. 26 and 27, and Aug. 30 and 31, both Hemlock Road ramps will be closed.

Cyclists will also be affected by the construction, which will put in a new recreational path.

The construction is in addition to ongoing rehabilitation work to the retaining walls on the Rockcliffe Parkway between Lisgar and Acacia roads. That work will continue into December.
