Frank Moir's death was suspicious, according to Ottawa Police.

The 88-year-old patient and resident of Peter D. Clark long-term care facility, was found dead with head injuries on Wednesday.

His son tells CTV Ottawa his father lived at the city-owned nursing home for about two years. He lived there with his wife who died last month. Both suffered from dementia.

Moir's son says the disease did not make his father aggressive.

Police did not say if other residents are being investigated.

Autopsy results are expected on Friday.
