An autopsy will be performed this week on a 27-year-old Gatineau man who died of stab wounds over the weekend.
Abdilatif Abdi Diriyeh, 26, was arrested shortly after the killing and has been charged with second-degree murder.
Although the 27-year-old victim was alive when police responded to a call at 44 Rue Georges-Bilodeau in Gatineau's Hull sector early Saturday morning, he died in hospital a short time later. Police have not released his identity.
The killing marks Gatineau's first homicide of the year.
