An attempted murder suspect wanted in connection with a central Ottawa shooting last week has turned himself in.

Ottawa police said they were looking for Hussein Mohammad after a bullet hole was found in a car in the 1100 block of Fisher Avenue Wednesday, July 18.

He was charged with four counts of attempted murder and multiple firearms offences after he turned himself in this Wednesday.

Mohammad is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

That Fisher Avenue shooting was Ottawa’s 27th of 2012, already four more than in all of 2011.
