A 27-year-old was arrested after police found $89,000 worth of marijuana inside a Laurentian Valley Township home, near Petawawa.

Several police forces, including Ottawa Drug Enforcement Services and two branches of the Ontario Provincial Police, entered the Forrest Lea Road home on a warrant and found 89 plants inside, police said on Friday.

Phillipe Chaput faces charges of marijuana production, possessing marijuana for the purpose of tracking and possessing marijuana over three kilograms.

Laurentian Valley is about two hours west of Ottawa.
