Gatineau police are on the hunt for an armed robber after a Jean Coutu pharmacy was targeted Tuesday afternoon.

Police say it happened just after 1 p.m. at 455 Riel Blvd. The man reportedly walked to the pharmacy counter and handed the clerk a note demanding Oxycontin and ativants.

Police say the suspect was given the drugs and fled in a beige four-door sedan.

The suspect is described as white, about 30 years old, French-speaking, and 6 feet tall with blond hair. Police say he had a black winter coat, red pants, and a blue-grey toque.

There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

The investigation continues.
