Dead car batteries, frozen pipes, and a frosbite warning.  Another bittery cold night lies ahead.

Ottawa remains in the midst of an Arctic blast that shows no sign of letting up until the weekend.

Hundreds of motorists had to wait hours for a battery boost.

Plumbers were busy throughout the city.

" We're extremely busy, we currently have over 20 calls on our dispatch board. All over the city of Ottawa, older houses, newer houses, old buildings, new buildings, everywhere right now.", said Ken Seward of Multi Drain.

CTV's JJ Clarke says brace yourself for another frigid night. Windchill temperatures will hit -40  after 7 am.
