A small group of protestors gathered outside the Prime Minister's office Saturday to demonstrate against the extension of Canada's mission in Afghanistan.
Between chanting, "End it, don't extend it," some members of the group said the Afghan war is a futile effort that unnecessarily puts our troops at risk.
"This war is not going to change that much because of the corruption, the feeling of the Afghan people that they're being invaded and the fact that so much bombing of civilians is going on," said Jo Wood of No War-Paix, the anti-war group that organized the event.
The group wants more discussion and debate in Parliament over the decision to keep Canadian troops in Afghanistan until 2014.
