Twenty-seven inmates at the Joyceville Institution near Kingston are facing almost 150 criminal charges after a stabbing in April.
Police said the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad and Correctional Services of Canada laid the assault and weapons charges after a disturbance on April 21 that sent seven inmates to hospital.
One 24-year-old remains hospitalized with life threatening injuries, according to police.
Eleven of the 27 are charged with attempted murder.
All the inmates that were charged remain in prison and will appear in provincial court on Dec. 7.
OPP said the investigation continues.
