Manoussi ran for the Greens in Ottawa-Orl�ans during the 2007 Ontario election. He is a business management professor who has taught at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University for 25 years.
He has been an advisory member of the RCMP's Cultural Diversity and Community Outreach programs and an executive with the Ottawa Muslim Association.
Manoussi is president of Canadian Higher Education, works as an educational consultant, and is also director-general of the Iranian Scholar Association of Canada. He has an honours degree from Teheran University and graduate degrees applied economics and management sciences from the University of Waterloo.
