An Ottawa man faces three additional charges after an April hit-and-run collision that killed a motorcyclist at Woodroffe Avenue and Richmond Road.
Gordon Davis, 57, was initially arrested and charged with failing to stop at an accident causing death. He now faces provincial charges of driving without insurance, driving without a license, and making an unsafe turn.
The April 16 crash killed Claude Dorion, 44, who was just two blocks from home and riding to work just before 5:30 a.m.
Davis turned himself into police later that day. At a brief court appearance last month, he refused to look at the victim's family, one of whom spoke out and had to be calmed by court officers.
Dorion, who worked as a supervisor at one of the city's landfills, left behind a wife and 23-year-old son.
Davis's next provincial court appearance is June 12.
