Leah Larocque is a Multi-Skilled Journalist with CTV News Ottawa contributing content to television, radio and digital platforms.

Leah grew up in the west-end of Ottawa.  She is happy to be back home working at the station she grew up watching.

Leah began her journalism career in Edmonton as a radio and television reporter. Some of her most memorable stories included the St. Albert RCMP shooting, and the Edmonton Oilers 1984 Reunion. She has interned at CTV Canada AM, and Ottawa Sun Sports. She also produced a radio documentary exploring the challenges players face after retiring from the National Hockey League.

As a competitive athlete, Leah has competed at the national level in track and field and cross-country, and continues to lace up for road races whenever she can. Chances are if you go along the canal, you have seen Leah running intervals with her teammates. To keep fit Leah also enjoys yoga,  spinning and biking.

Leah speaks French, English, and Spanish. She is a classical trained pianist and loves watching British period dramas and going home for Sunday night dinners with her family.

Leah has a Master’s of Journalism from Carleton University and an undergraduate degree in Global Development Studies from Queen’s University in Kingston.

Leah Larocque joined CTV Ottawa as a producer and general assignment reporter in April 2015.
