A look at the new Ottawa Charge jerseys
The Professional Women's Hockey League unveiled the new jerseys for the Ottawa Charge on Thursday, ahead of the start of the second season for the league.
The Charge have a red, grey and yellow colour scheme, with a spinning 'O' logo with spikes designed to convey a sense of energy and movement.
The red Charge jersey features a white 'O' logo with red and yellow trim, black across the shoulders and black, grey and yellow stripes at the bottom of the jersey and on the arms.
"We didn't know what it was going to look like, so this is as much a reveal for us as it is for everyone else," Jincy Roese, Charge assistant captain, said. "I think the yellow is a nice touch with the gray, and it's just awesome."

Ashton Bell said, "Seeing them and seeing it all come to life is pretty cool and knowing that our fans can now rep this as well, I think the building will be like no other."
Ottawa native Rebecca Leslie says, "it feels so special for me to put on this jersey."
"To finally have a jersey that represents women's hockey here in the city, I think it's really special, Leslie said.
"I've always been a Sens fan and a 67's fan, but it's cool to have little girls wearing our jerseys now growing up."
Charge defender Zoe Boyd says the team name and jersey, "feels electric. It's the charge."
“I think it's going to be really special because Charge is a great word to describe who we are as a group," Boyd said. "We're super electric, and we're going to ‘take charge’. I think it'll be a lot of fun to have that identity for next season and for the fans.”
In September, the PWHL announced the names for the six teams. The PWHL says 'Charge' pays tribute to Ottawa – from the city's motto 'Advance' ('En Avant'), with the logo featuring a monogram 'O.'

Leslie says the Charge name and jersey are "great for our fans to have an identity, to have something to cheer for."
"I think it'll be really cool for us players to see fans walking through the streets of Ottawa and our jerseys now.”
The Ottawa Charge open the PWHL season on Nov. 30 against Montreal. The home opener is Dec. 3 against the Toronto Sceptres at TD Place.
