A Sunday school teacher from Fitzroy Habour was sentenced to another 18 months in prison today after pleading guilty to sexual assault.
In January, Paul Laframboise, age 74, admitted to molesting 4 teenaged girls since 2010. He pleaded guilty to half a dozen charges including sexual assault and sexual exploitation. His youngest victim was 13 years old.
A few weeks before his arrest in October 2012 he was featured on CTV Ottawa's Regional Contact for his hobby - making bow and arrows.
During sentencing Justice Heather Perkins-McVey told Laframboise, "You may not truly appreciate the impact of your actions... or you wouldn't see yourself as a victim of the justice system."
Once released, Laframboise will have his DNA in the data bank of sexual offenders and will face conditions for the next 20 years.
His lawyer indicated to the judge he wants to seek early parole.
