2 Maxmillions tickets worth $1 million sold in eastern Ontario

While there was no winner for the Lotto Max jackpot for the 17^th consecutive draw, there are several winning tickets in eastern Ontario.

OLG says there was no winning ticket for the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot on Tuesday night.  Several Maxmillions and other prizes were won here in eastern Ontario and across the province.

A Maxmillions winning ticket worth $1 million was sold in Kingston, and another Maxmillions winning ticket was sold in Prince Edward/Hastings County.

A Maxmillions winning ticket worth $333,333 was sold in Renfrew County.

OLG recommends you check your tickets on the OLG app or at a retailer.

The next Lotto Max draw on Friday will have a $70 million jackpot, plus 42 Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each.

Kingston resident wins $1 million in Lotto Max

A Kingston man is the LImestone city's newest millionaire after winning $1 million in the July 26 Lotto Max draw.

Steven Williams has been playing the lottery for about 15 years. Wiliams and his sister were taken by surprise when they learned about the winning ticket.

"My sister was quick to say, 'I've never met a lottery winner before!' and we all shared a laugh," the Kingston resident said while at the OLG Prize Centre to pick up his Maxmillions prize.

Williams says winning is a "great feeling," noting that he hasn't taken the time to think about what he's going to do with the money, yet.

"I haven't even thought about it yet! I still don't think it has fully registered," he added.
