Gatineau Police are turning to the public for help after at least 70 cars in Aylmer were vandalized.

The first incident happened on August 8th when 20 cars parked around Queen's Park Street had their tires slashed.

The next happened just over two months later on October 17th on Grand-Hunier Street, Beaulac Street and de la Cédrière. In that case, another 32 cars were found with puncture marks to at least one tire.

A third crime of a similar nature occurred on October 21st on d'Orsay Street. Instead of slashed tires, 20 cars suffered damage to their windshield wipers or side mirrors.

In an effort to solve this mystery, police have released a grainy surveillance video. The 20 second clip shows a man in a hoody as he bends down, and slashes two tires of a white SUV.

"There is the way the suspect is dressed and how he moves that sometimes, that is enough to get someone to identify him" said Sgt. Jean-Paul LeMay with Gatineau Police.

So far police have not released any information about the suspect or suspects. Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to contact police.

Police believe the three incidents are related and say one person might be responsible for all three crime sprees.
