Ottawa Police are looking to identify suspects believed to be involved in a retail robbery on Rideau Street.

On March 26, 2015, a single suspect entered a retail store in the 100 block of Rideau Street. He then showed a handgun, and proceeded to make a demand for valuables. Police say the suspect struck the storeowner who did not immediately respond to the demands. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Police say the suspect fled the scene with some of the victim’s personal belongings. According to police, a second suspect was waiting in a nearby cab.

The Robbery Unit is now asking for the public’s help in identifying the two individuals who reportedly fled the scene by cab.  

The primary suspect in the robbery is described as being a black male, approximately 5'9"(175 cm). He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, grey jogging pants, black running shoes, white gloves and a white balaclava or similar.

The second person of interest, who police say remained in the cab, is described as being a black male.
