Two suspected teenage car theives have been arrested by Gatineau Police.
Police say they were involved in a short pursuit around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 3 in Aylmer's Plateau area. The chase happened after a resident noticed two suspicious vehicles parked at an apartment building. The tip led police to an Acura and a Dodge that had been reported stolen.
When police arrived, the two suspects tried to flee. Police say one car was stopped, but the other managed to drive away.
A 16-year-old Gatineau resident was arrested after the short pursuit. A 15-year-old Ottawa was arrested in the parking lot of the apartment building.
Both individuals appeared in court today on a number of charges including theft.
