Two men are charged in relation to one of two of the stabbing incidents over the weekend on William St. in the Byward Market.
26-year-old Mohammed Mohammed and 21-year-old Ali Abbari are charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.

Ottawa Police say six people were injured in two unrelated stabbings in the ByWard Market overnight Saturday.
The first incident took place around 10 P.M. Saturday night at Rideau St. & Waller St. Paramedics say a male victim was stabbed and suffered injuries to the face. He was treated and taken to hospital.
Police are currently looking for a suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
“An unidentified suspect described as a white male in his mid-20’s fled the scene. We’re looking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspect,” said Duty Insp. Sandra McLaren.
A few blocks away emergency crews responded to a second stabbing between a group of men on William St. between George St. & York St. early Sunday around 1:45a.m.
Five people were injured – four of them suffered stab wounds. Police say one person was injured critically but his condition has since been upgraded to stable.
Paramedics say they treated three men in their 20’s on scene before they were transported to hospital.
In this case police say three people were taken into custody. Police say the suspects did not know the victims and the incident was not gang related.
Sunday afternoon police were back on William St. searching manholes near Rideau St. looking for evidence.
