Ontario Provincial Police have determined the causes of death of two young people who died after a “serious incident” in Odessa, near Kingston. Although police have not confirmed it, it appears to be a murder-suicide.

OPP say they were called to a home on Chreighton Dr. around 11:55 a.m. Sunday and found the body of 28-year-old Nicole Guimond.

They say she was the victim of a homicide.

24-year-old Travis Sayyeau was found suffering life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital and later died of his injuries, police say.

They say there is no foul play involved in his death.

According to friends, the pair had been dating for over a year, but recently broke up.

Police won't say if there was a domestic dispute or if a weapon was involved in the incident.

Staff at Summerhays Grill on Baseline Road in Ottawa confirm the pair had worked there but moved to Odessa a few months ago.

Tributes have also been posted to Facebook. Tasha says "Words can't express how much I'm going to miss you. You were one of the brightest most loving souls I have ever known. You both will forever be loved and missed."

Becky says "My eyes are swollen, my heart is broken, my soul is aching. Nikki, you were the most beaufiul human inside and out!"
