Join CTV, MAJIC 100 and The Salvation Army to support The 2015 Toy Mountain campaign!

Taking part is easy! Simply donate a new, unwrapped toy and you will help make this Christmas a special one for girls and boys in need.

This year alone, the Salvation Army expects to help nearly 20,000 children in the Ottawa region.

How can I help Toy Mountain?

As an individual:

Donate a toy: Simply purchase and donate an unwrapped toy. We distribute toys to children aged 0-12.

Volunteer: To volunteer at the Toy Mountain warehouse by sorting toys, please email Kristine at kristine_farnel@ottawaboothcentre.org

As a group or business organization:

Lead an At Work Santa program in your office. Gather your co-workers and simply collect new unwrapped toys as a group! Register Here!

Download the official At Work Santa poster (English & French) for your office to encourage the giving spirit then drop off your toys at one of our many drop-off locations around the city (listed below).

Where can I drop off my donation?




I need toys for my children...How do I register?

If you are on Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program, your worker can register you for Toy Mountain.

If you are not on OW or ODSP, please call 2-1-1. They will be able to direct you to one of the city’s Community Resource Centres or they can tell you the best place for you to register as there are many organizations that will register on your behalf.

Q: Is there anything Toy Mountain does not accept?

A: Please avoid donating used toys, clothing and food to Toy Mountain. 

Q: What are the ages of the children for whom toys are being collected?

A: We collect and distribute toys for boys and girls aged 0-12.

Q: What age groups does Toy Mountain have the most trouble getting toys for?

A: Toy Mountain is typically short on toys for boys and girls in the 0-2 and 11-12 year old categories. Donations for these age groups are especially appreciated.

Q: Can I donate gently used toys?

A: No. Toy Mountain accepts only new toys.

Q: Should I wrap the toys I am donating?

A: Please do not wrap toys – we need to see the toy to make sure it gets to a child of an appropriate age.

Q: How do my donations get to Toy Mountian? 

A: We ask that you drop off your donations to one of the many drop off locations around the city. Drop off locations are listed above.

Q: When should I drop off my donations? 

A: The earlier the better! We recommend making donations no later than Monday, December 14th. Our volunteers need as much time as possible to sort and distribute the toys. We will continue to accept donations until December 23rd. Please refer to the drop off locations above as some locations will only be open certain days.

Q: Can I make a financial donation?

A: We do accept cash and cheque donations. Please make cheques out to The Salvation Army, All financial donations are accumulated and use to buy toys for the age groups that are in most need.
