BELLEVILLE, Ont. - A Toronto cab driver has been treated and released from Belleville General hospital after being pepper sprayed.

Belleville police say the cabbie was assaulted with pepper spray by the occupants of his cab on Friday morning.

Three young adults took the taxi from Toronto to Belleville and allegedly sprayed the driver before jumping out of the vehicle.

Police found one of the suspects near the site of the incident and sent him to hospital for treatment of a serious head injury.

An 18-year-old woman also faces charges.

Police are looking for a second male suspect and are asking to hear from anyone with information.
