The Westin Hotel has confirmed to CTV Ottawa that the large Chinese delegation, visiting Canada this week for talks with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, requested a large temporary “privacy wall” be constructed across the entire front of the hotel during their stay. The wall blocked all views of protesters who had gathered across the street. The hotel confirmed the wall was not security related, or requested by the RCMP

The wall is temporary and it will come down over the weekend.

Yesterday protesters were lined up across the street from the hotel which is located in downtown Ottawa, on Colonel By Drive overlooking the Rideau Canal.
