Life is no beach for Dustin Cook in the summer time. A couple of times each summer he returns to where his skiing career took off, on the slopes at Mont Ste. Marie, in western Quebec. He turns his parents’ cottage into an outdoor gym.

Cook is coming off a breakthrough season in the men’s Super G on the World Cup downhill circuit. He had 3 top three finishes this past season, capturing gold on his final event of the season. The previous year his best finish was 12th.

Cook says “I’m super pumped and ready to kick some butt” as he prepares for the upcoming season. His dryland training consists of a lot of core work, mountain biking, and weight lifting.

Cook is now in Chile training on snow. The World cup ski season begins in October.

Cook says “For me I don’t want to be a one hit wonder, that’s why I’m going to keep doing what I am doing” .
