A freezing rain warning is in effect for Ottawa and surrounding areas.  The freezing rain is expected to change to snow around noon.  The weather is making for a messy commute Friday morning.

School bus service is cancelled for the Ottawa Catholic School Board, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, the Conseil des Ecoles Catholiques de Langue Francaise du Centre-Est and the Upper Canada District School Board.

Ottawa's Catholic and French language boards have PD days today so classes are not running.  Schools belonging to Ottawa's public board are open.

Merivale High School and South Carleton High School students who expected to write exams today will instead write them on Monday.

Woodroffe High Schools students expecting to write exams today will instead write them on Tuesday.  Monday's exam schedule remains unchanged.

All exams at high schools belonging to the Limestone District School Board have been postponed to February 2nd.

Students should check their school website or contact their individual high schools regarding exam schedules. The decision to reschedule exams is made by individual principals and therefore will vary from school to school.

The Kemptville campus of the University of Guelph will be closed today and classes are cancelled.

There are several flight cancellations and delays at the Ottawa International Airport.  If you are flying today, please check with your carrier before going to the airport.
