A 33-year-old Ottawa restaurant worker was rushed to hospital Thursday, Apr. 16, 2015 after his hand and forearm got stuck in an industrial meat grinder.

Paramedics were called to the Billings Bridge area restaurant just after the lunch hour rush ended.

Ottawa firefighters used the Jaws of Life to help dismantle the grinder and remove the man's arm from the equipment.

The worker remains in serious condition.
