Ontario Provincial Police and Kingston Police are searching a large property near Kingston for evidence that may help them solve a 22-year-old cold case.

In February of 1993, Kingston police opened an investigation into the disappearance of 30-year-old Gord Cameron of Kingston.

He has never been found.

After receiving what police are calling “new information,” police are now searching a large property on North Shore Road in Frontenac Township, about 30 minutes outside of Kingston.

Acting Sgt. Janice Sawbridge with the OPP said investigators from the OPP and Kingston Police obtained a search warrant to search the property, which covers hundreds of acres and includes several bodies of water.

They are searching for physical evidence linked to the case. Sawbridge confirms that may include a body.

The investigation is a joint one between the OPP and Kingston police. The UnderwaterSearch and Recovery Unit (USRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Forensic Identification Services (FIS) are all assisting with the search.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police investigators at 1-844-991-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
