Update: The missing female has been located

The Ottawa police Service would like to advise that Ms. Helene Merritt was located today. Her body was found in the River by Gatineau Police.

No foul play is suspected. No further information will be released.

The Ottawa Police would like to thank the community and media for their assistance in this matter.

Ottawa Police need your help finding a missing woman.

55-year-old Hélène Merritt was last seen at her home Saturday afternoon.

Police say her rental car was found outside the Museum of Civilization in Gatineau Monday.

Merritt is described as white, standing 5'5" and weighing 170 pounds. She has short grey hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.
