Ottawa police have released surveillance video footage in an effort to solve a spree of bank robberies.

The footage shows five different suspects involved in five separate bank robberies occurring in Ottawa between January 15 and February 12, 2015. But police believe some of the suspects are responsible for more than one robbery.

The five unsolved robberies that are featured in the video are as follows:

1.      January 15, 2015 in the 1-100 block of Bank Street, January 15, 2015 in the 1-100 block of Bank Street and January 23, 2015 in the 1-100 block of Kent Street (see the related OPS news release at: http://www.ottawapolice.ca/en/news/index.aspx?page=18&newsId=eee44aa8-1eb7-4d67-9d22-edfb29c82e75)

2.      January 23, 2015 on Somerset Street West

      At approximately 4:40am, a lone male suspect entered a bank situated along the 600 block of Somerset Street West.  The suspect made verbal demands for cash to multiple bank employees.  The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash.  There were no injuries.  This robbery was minutes before the robbery along Kent Street (same day).  No news release was issued for this file.

Crime Stoppers Ottawa is also offering maximum $2000 rewards for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for each of the five investigations.
