Ottawa police have charged an Ottawa man with several sexual assault offences involving a child.

Police say they were told last week about allegations that an adult male sexually assaulted a child under 14-year-old this summer at home in the Centretown area.

38-year-old Harley Oleksuik is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and sexual exploitation. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Police won’t be releasing any further details about the alleged incidents so as to protect the victim’s identity.

Police say the suspect is not related to the victim. Investigators are concerned there could be more victims.

They are asking anyone with information to contact them.
