Ontario Provincial Police are looking into reports about three different shooting incidents along the 401 in the past two months.

The OPP in Napanee and Northumberland say that the first incident occurred on August 22, 2014 as a driver was traveling westbound on the 401 at Trenton and Colborne when he heard a bang.  When the motorist later looked at the car, he noticed a small hole.

Two days later, around 3:30 p.m., the driver of an eastbound vehicle traveling Highway 401 near Colborne heard a gunshot.  There was no damage to that vehicle.

Then, a busy Thanksgiving Monday along the 401, another motorist reports gunshots.  This driver was stopped along the highway, eastbound in Quinte West when he heard a gunshot.  There was no damage to his vehicle either and no injuries in any of the other three incidents. The OPP are asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.  Police say if you are a victim of a similar crime, to call 911 immediately.
