The 'Occupy' movement, which began on Wall Street in New York City and quickly spread around the world, is gaining momentum in Ottawa.

There are now more than 75 tents at Confederation Park. The protest began on October 15.

The National Capital Commission has yet to ask anyone to leave the park. Officials say the organization is keeping an eye on the situation, along with police.

Occupy Ottawa, like its counterparts in other cities around the world, is a movement to protest the widening gap between rich and poor.
