Ottawa Police have charged an Ottawa man after a police chase that came dangerously close to a kids’ soccer field in the east end.
Wednesday evening around 7:15, officers were called to the area of Victoria Street and Bowden Road.
The driver sped away and drove towards a soccer field near the Leitrim Road Police Station. Kids were playing and many parents were watching.
Officers were able to stop the driver on Hawthorne Road and was taken into custody.
27 year old Adam Bouchard has been charged with:
- Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Weapons Dangerous
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Fail to Stop for Police/Pursuit
- Theft Under $5000
- Breach of Recognizance x3
There were no injuries reported.
