Along with Canada Day festivities , there will be several closures and service reductions throughout the city on July 1st.

Federal and Provincial government offices, Ottawa City Hall, provincial courts and Ottawa client service centres will all be closed.

There will be no curbside green bin garbage collection and pick up will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

All Ottawa public libraries and city operated child care centres will also be closed.

A few popular spots are keeping their doors open. The Rideau Centre and the Byward Market will be up and running while all other malls, grocery stores, LCBO, beer stores and banks will be closed.
