Ottawa Senators goalie Robin Lehner showed no rust tonight in his 2nd start this month as he backstopped the Senators to a 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators.

The Predators opened the scoring 3 minutes into the first period on the power play. Shea Weber uses his lethal shot to open the scoring. Robin Lehner with no chance as the Predators would lead 1-0 after one period.

The Senators tie it up in the 2nd period as Bobby Ryan scores in his 2nd straight game to tie it at one. Erik Karlsson and Mika Zibanejad drawing the assists on the goal.

The Senators add 2 more goals about 2 minutes apart. Alex Chiasson redirects Cody Ceci’s point shot for a 2-1 lead. Then about 2 minutes later, Jared Cowen scores his first goal of the season giving the Senators a 3-1 lead after 2 periods.

The Predators pull to within one goal early in the 3rd period. Olli Jokinen earns his first point of the season to trail 3-2.

With the Predators pressuring late in the game, Robin Lehner shuts the door making 33 saves as the Ottawa Senators hold on for a 3-2 victory.

The Senators next host the St Louis Blues Saturday.
