OTTAWA -- Provincial police say what started as a traffic stop for a vehicle with a noisy muffler ended in a drug bust.

OPP officers were conducting a traffic enforcement blitz in Ottawa (on the Castlefrank eastbound on-ramp to Highway 417) on Wednesday, Mar. 25, 2015 when they stopped a vehicle with extremely loud exhaust.

It's alleged that as the officers were investigating the vehicle, cocaine and ecstasy were found.

Jasdeep Singh Grewal, 19, faces two drug trafficking charges along with an improper muffler charge.

He's scheduled to appear in court on the charges on May 12.
