One person is dead and several others are injured after a tour bus and car collided near Algonquin Park.

Renfrew Paramedic Chief Mike Nolan said on Twitter that a car and a bus full of tourists crashed on Highway 60 in the area around Tea Lake and Algonquin Park around 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3rd.

One person was transported to hospital by Ornge air in critical condition and multiple other patients were transported to hospital by ambulance in serious but stable condition.

The other passengers on the tour bus were assessed by Paramedics and are said to be uninjured.

Highway 60 is closed at Highway 35 while Ontario Provincial Police continue their investigation into the crash.
