Military police have charged a reservist with sexually assaulting two different victims at the Connaught Range and training centre west of Ottawa.

Reservist Captain Joseph Horvath faces two counts of sexual assault.

The first alleged incident dates back to the summer of 2013. After military police had investigated that incident and charged Horwath, a third party came forward with separate allegations against a different victim just this month.

He was then charged with a second count of sexual assault.

Both cases are being handled by civilian criminal courts.
