Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for the City of Ottawa that it says could destroy crops, vegetables and your garden.

The advisory was issued for Ottawa, Kanata, Orleans, Richmond and Metcalfe around 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22nd, 2015.

Environment Canada says wide spread frost is expected as ground temperatures overnight and early Saturday morning are expected to be at or below the freezing point.

Temperatures are expected to hit a low of zero tonight, with the weather warming up to a high of 19 degrees tomorrow. A high of 25 is expected Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds in the morning, followed by a 30 per cent chance of showers in the evening.
