KINGSTON, Ont. - A former assistant fire chief in Kingston, Ont., has pleaded guilty to eight of three dozen sex-related charges he was facing.

Robert Kidd's pleaded guilty Monday to charges that include making and possessing child pornography, indecent exposure and voyeurism.

In a statement of facts presented to the court, it was revealed that Kidd victimized 18 people -- seven of them under the age of 18.

However, the court heard that Kidd had 8,000 images and 1,100 videos on computer hard drives and USB devices that were seized by police.

Police allege many of the images are graphic and were secretly recorded and compiled over the past decade.

Some of the victims cried in court as the evidence was read into the record. Details of the sentence are pending.
