Ottawa Councillor Stephen Blais used his twitter account to tell the city that he's been moved out of the critical care unit at the Heart Institute.
Blais tweeted, "out of the CCU and in a regular room-thx to all the nurses who took such good care of me - so fortunate to have Heart Institute in #ottcity".
And in a message sent to CTV Ottawa, Blais wrote, '"feeling great, looking forward to moving ahead with my rehabilitation".
The 32 year old Blais suffered a heart attack in early January during a work out at an east end gym.
In late January, he contracted pneumonia.
Blais is a first time Ottawa City Councillor.
