It’s one of the most stressful times of the year for college and university students in the region.

At Carleton they’ve brought in some four-legged help for students dealing with exams.

“This is getting rid of my stress…I actually forgot I had an exam,” said one student.

A therapy dog named Oscar was such a hit at the The Spot Student Life Centre in the University Centre Thursday, students lined up for a chance to pet him.

“They [the students] leave here saying they’re so much more relaxed,” said Glenda Lahde with Therapeutic Paws of Canada.

You can see the dogs from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on April 21st and 23rd at The Spot (302 University Centre).

During the exam period, a group of volunteers with various local churches, including St. Andrew’s, supply and serve breakfast items to students on the go in the University Centre Atrium.

The volunteers set up there during the week between 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or whenever the food is gone.

They will be there until April 23.
