Commuters who thought traffic would ease once Summer ends are out of luck. The City is warning residents to prepare for construction related delays this Fall.

On Friday, City Council provided updates about the status of on-going projects and provided some insight into what construction around the city will look like in the coming months.

Major projects including the  Highway 417 widening, Orléans watermain link and the Sussex Drive rehabilitation project are set to continue. The replacement of the Lees Avenue 417 Overpass on the September 6th weekend, and  the Vanier Parkway 417 Overpass on the October 4th weekend are expected to cause significant delays.

The City is urging commuters to plan alternate routes, stagger work hours and even consider carpooling.
